Olivia (Liv) Nutt
"Hi family, I’m Liv! I am a proud born and raised Memphian and am stoked to play a more active role in the Yoga community!!! I look forward to meeting and seeing everyone in the Downtown Yoga community regularly! I began practicing yoga years ago, but fell deeper in love with it when navigating my anxiety/depression journey back in 2018. There is just something about deeply connecting with my breath, sweating out the day’s stress, and moving the body God gave me that I find so valuable. I am RTY200 certified and have been guiding others in practice for almost 2 years now! When I’m not in the studio, you can find me listening to old Blues + Soul/R&B music, thumbing through a current read, strumming my Tiny Martin guitar, walking my goof of a dog Koda with my husband (and bff) Zane at Overton park, working on Public Relation things, laughing with my sweet family that I’m so blessed to have nearby, or daydreaming while sipping a margarita, lol. I am here for all of you amazing human beings! See you soon!”

Q & A with Liv Nutt!
What is your yoga background? As a student? As an instructor?
I first found and fell in love with yoga during the peak of my anxiety journey. I went into my first class seeking mental benefits, but once I discovered the physical benefits as well, my love only grew for it! I have been practicing for 6+ years and have been instructing for 3+.
What is your yoga philosophy?
Meet yourself where you are at, find what feels good.
What do you hope your students get the most from your classes?
To know that there are never any expectations and to always leave class feeling lighter and a better version of themselves.
Do you prefer a specific style of yoga? Why?
Vinyasa, because I gain physical and mental benefits. I love connecting my breath with movement. However I have lately been loving yin during a more hectic season of life.
What is your advice to a beginner walking into their first class?
To just focus on staying dedicated on your breath and the rest will follow!
What tip do you use in your life to motivate yourself to move?
I GET to exercise my body, I don't have to.
What elements of yoga are you excited to teach, and why?
I am excited to keep teaching vinyasa flow classes for all levels, and have been learning more about pranayama breathing, which is exciting that I am getting to incorporate it in my classes
A little more…. I love Memphis and investing in the local community.
Whether you are from here or just passing by, I encourage you to come take a class! You will feel better than when you first walked in.
